Conclusions from my audience research

1. From my audience research I can conclude that for the fonts for my various different headings (e.g. main cover line, cover lines and subheadings) they all had the same idea of what to use and the majority said that Impact and Arial and Arial black would be a good style of font to use. A few people said that I should use impact as the font for my main cover line as it will stand out and it will look good with the different sizes. However, although Arial and Arial black was the next option, I may use the font Oxygen because I think that it’s better to use as not many people would think to use this and I like the way it is styled.

2. Also, from my research I can see that many people preferred to use seins-serif for the masthead. I agree with their opinions because I think that serif is a little to basic, although it is bold and will draw the reader in, I think that the use of seins-serif would be better because of the whole styling behind it.

3. I asked the question “How many images would you expect to see on the contents page and how many columns?” from my research, I can determine that the main number of images varies between 2-4 images, which in my opinion is a good range to choose from as from that I can get a variety. Also, when it comes to columns, in my first group chat they said that I should include 3-4 columns; however I think that I should include 1-2 which the other group chat insisted on doing.

4. Also, I asked them what content page layout they preferred in order to get an idea of how to style my content page and from my results I can see that they preferred Mojo and Q and I think that these two contents pages go well as there is balance of text and images with it.

5. I also can conclude from this the shot I will take for the front page magazine. Majority of the people said to do long shot as it captures everything, however I agree more with the people who said to use medium close-up as that way you can get the facial features of the person well.

For my audience research I will be planning on writing up a few questions that will be related to my magazine and that will help me have an idea of what people like and what I need to do. In order to conduct this information I will be making a group chat via iPhone messaging, where I will select a group of my friends and will ask them the questions on there. I will make sure that I have a range of people in order to get good feedback. I will be taking screenshots of this as evidence in order to back myself up and to put onto the website page.

After asking the questions and getting the feedback, what I hope to get from this is good answers that will help me when making my magazine. I hope to find out how many images I need on my contents pages and the layout people favour. I also hope to find out the colour scheme as that is an important part of my magazine and I would like to see what schemes are most liked.  Also the most important thing I will be finding out (in my opinion) is what shots to have as that it was will make the magazine.
